Most Pagan traditions are Earth-based and celebrate the physical word. Our bodies are also part of this physical reality and yet, we live in an overculture that promotes numbness, dissociation and body shame. This ritual will draw from Reclaiming tradition as well as being inspired by dance and movement practices, such as Authentic Movement, Nia, and somatic healing practices. In this ritual, we will be invited to come into deeper connection and intimacy with our bodies, not as vessels but as sacred, fully embodied beings. We will move according to our abilities, explore the elements within ourselves, and sense ourselves whole and home within ourselves. We will be invited to reflect our embodied sacred selves to each other, and to maybe find a commitment to honor our embodied selves in our everyday sacred practices.
