: This workshop will address how colonization, Christianization, and white supremacy, including the erasure of other models of gender within a range of cultures and traditions, have impacted the existence and promulgation of the gender binary in several modern Pagan traditions. We will explore how a range of identities and expressions have existed across time and space in various spiritual traditions, and how some modern Pagan traditions, such as Reclaiming are striving to challenge the gender binary. We will discuss examples of inclusive gender practices in modern Paganism, focusing on both community building and ritual.
