Livable: Universal Design and Ritual Practice

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule, view media, leave feedback and see who's attending!

Our lives are constantly changing. The ritual practices that work for us one year may be completely impractical the next, because our living situation, our health, our family structure, our work, or other major parts of our life have changed. Universal design is the idea of creating practices, objects and resources so they can be used by people with the widest range of abilities, experiences, and circumstances. This workshop will focus on how to use universal design practices to help us create sustainable and flexible personal ritual practices, but we’ll also touch on applying these principles to group events and other shared activities.
